It’s a little show known as “MAD MEN”
OH MY GOD.
Why did I wait so long to watch it?
Everyone has been talking about it for AGES.
I decided that when the 3rd season started back in August that I would DVR it and rent the 1st & 2nd seasons to catch up.
Little did I know that I would watch HOURS UPON HOURS of episodes.
Every weekend (which has now turned into almost nightly), I sit and watch a few episodes back to back.
Have I mentioned I WANT TO RUN AWAY WITH DON DRAPPER?
And when I say Don Drapper, I mean DON DRAPPER (not the actor who plays him- Jon Hamm).
I guess I have always been attracted to tall, brooding characters.
Men who are assholes, but also misunderstood.
You know- the ones you think YOU can change?
SIGH.
If you have yet to watch this show- go NOW. Netflix it. Rent it. Itunes it. Just go.
You will not regret it.

I need to give that show another chance. We didn’t like the first episode, and never went back to it. You should look for the Jon Hamm “Ham” skit he did on SNL, if you haven’t seen it.
I’m somewhat obsessed with True Blood, which is kinda funny ‘cuz I couldn’t care less about Twilight. Something about those vampires (maybe it’s the accents?) just draws me in.

You’re right- it is very slow in the beginning! But after 4, 5 episodes it reels you in. There is a lot of charater development and subtext that takes time. You will LOVE it once you give it a chance.

I love this show. I also just got caught up with it for the first time this year. It starts off a bit slow but the second and third seasons are crazy!

I am currently obsessed with NCIS. Because Toni is hot, I want him to hook up with Ziva, I want Gibbs to be my dad, Abby to be my sister, and McGee to be either our brother or her boyfriend. Yeah…I don’t live in a fantasy world:)

LOOOOVE this show as well! I am very addicted to it when new episodes come out. Right now, I am obsessed with the Twilight Saga – I didn’t understand what all the fuss was about when I saw the movie – then I. Read. The. Books.

So i was reading your post prior to my babysitting charge getting up for her nap. She’s two. She took one look at the computer, went “No. Mine!” and started talking to the girls. She sat there going “Hiiiiiii babies!” swoon
Also, obsessions. 30 Rock, because I want to be Tina Fey. and Glee. Duh. Also, Castle.

How did it take you sooooo long? Mad Men is so good. Even though Danny says he thinks all of the characters are jerks, he is also addicted.
We love The United States of Tara (only 1 season so far, but amazing!) and 30 Rock. And I am a huge Biggest Loser fan. Even though it is cheesy. And Big Brother. I wait all year for the summer!

Well, my favorite show of all time is Lost, and I am DYING waiting for it to start next month (it’s on NetFlix instant que…you HAVE to watch the first season if you haven’t given it a fair shot yet). I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Friday Night Lights (also on Neflix instant). Tim Riggins is HOT! We’re waiting on True Blood Season 2 to be released on DVD so we can catch up on that. I am currently waiting on disc 2 of Dexter, Season 3 to arrive in my mailbox. I will give Mad Men a shot once I’m caught up on Dexter

I am a lost fanatic as well… but I must say I didnt watch the first season (shame on me!). I even have lost parties. Feb cant come soon enough! You totally got me into Dexter, I have one episode left for the second season. I just cant wait to see how the baby comes about!!! Oh, and you know that he is married tot he girl who plays his sister Deb on the show in real life- right? How weird is that!? YOU NEED to watch mad men. It’s slow in the beginning but it is totally worth it once it starts rolling.

You should go back and watch the first season of Lost before the final season begins! I did know that Dexter and his sis are married…and YES! It’s weird!! I am six episodes into season 3 now…kind of a weird story arc going this season. Jimmy Smits is a regular this season…I’ve always thought he was hot.
