You have to see to believe

Usually I do a wordless Wednesday post on Wednesday- but not today folks.

Today- I show you a picture, but in no way is it wordless.

So the other week my husband told  me that while he was dropping the girls off at their daycare class, he noticed the wall in the hallway filled with pictures of the kids.

As he was scanning the pictures, he saw a photo of Soleil wearing a bandana. He asked the teacher when the picture was taken. She looked at the photo and said, “That’s not Soleil, that’s another student”

He said his jaw dropped- the resemblance was uncanny.

He told me I needed to see it for myself.

I dropped the girls off at school yesterday and he guided me to the photo wall.

There it was.

OH

MY GOD

Soleil did not want to comply with us when we tried to take a pic next to the picture

You know how they say everyone has someone who looks like them in this world?

I mean- what are the chances?!

Turns out- the little girl is in Soleil’s class!!

I had to see her for myself.

She is a few months older, and therefore taller and thinner- but my G-D she looks more like Soleil than her twin sister does!!

Of course, since this little girl is older, I ruled out the chance that she is my daughter (Because you NEVER know with IVF).

Now , I am DYING to see this girls parents.

DYING.

This entire thing is kind of freaking me out.

  1. THAT is a TRIP ! I thought it was Soleil when I first glanced over the pictures and was already planning on commenting on the cute bandana !

I worked in a fertility clinic for a year, so I can see why you really freaked out at first! But darn, I sure am wondering what her parents look like too. You be sure and tell us what you see!

    WHOA! Very uncanny indeed!

There’s a woman on a message board I frequent whose daughter looks exactly like ME when I was a baby — way more than my daughter looks like me. I sent her a pic of me when I was around her daughter’s age, and she totally agrees.

Yikes!! I will not believe that is not Soleil until I see a picture of the little girl next to Soleil ha ha! She looks just like her.

Wow, that is asbolutely unbelievable! I’d be a little bit careful, though, of posting pictures of kids without their parents permission. I got burned on that once. In fact, my brother and I haven’t spoken for almost 2 years after I posted, and commented on, a photo of his kid. I had done it so innocently and, yet, in the blink of an eye one inadvertant move completely changed my life. I would hate for the same thing to happen to you. IEspecially in the land of lady liberty… where everyone seems to sue everyone for anything.

Is there any chance you might have a sister?!? Or that your husband may have a long-lost twin? How intriguing! And what the chances of the little girls being at the same school, in the same class? Remember us when your made-for-tv movie comes out! ;)

  7. Weird!

WOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! That looks exactly like her! And I would totally wonder, too…

You have another little clone running around! I have got to see what the parents look like.

    Wow – that is freaky!

I once had 2 students in the same class who I assumed were twins, likely identical twins. When I noticed they didn’t have the same last night name, I asked them about it… and they swore they weren’t even related!
