Oh Gerard Butler, take me away!

Last night my husband and I whipped out the old home movies and started watching them.

Now they only goes as far back to Nov 2006, but they are old to us- as in  BEFORE- BABIES.

It was crazy to see a few things:

1) How skinny I was.

2) How boring and uneventful our lives were pre- children

3) How cute I was as a pregnant lady

4) How funny my grandmother was.

5) How  TINY my girls were when they were first born. No joke- Neve looked like an alien. No, really. A face only a mother could love

6) How skinny I was. Oh, did I mention that already?

The nicest thing to watch was the first (and only) video we took of me pregnant. I was 2 months along and my tummy was already showing, since I was skinny (skinny to me anyway!). I was beaming. I asked my husband in the video if he was happy we were having twins and who he thought they would look like. The date stamp showed June 1st, 2007- two years to the DAY! It was crazy to watch and to internalize just how much has gone on in 2 years.

On Friday night I watched the movie “P.S I Love You”. It dragged a little bit in the beginning and I wasn’t loving Hillary Swank as a romantic lead. I was HOWEVER loving Gerard Butler and Jeffery Dean Morgan. All I can say is  *sigh* *swoon* *Calgon take me away*

P.S I love You

P.S You're hot.

A man with dimples..

I realized that I may have made a mistake marrying a non-Irish man since I MELT when I hear them speak. They would be able to say just about anything to me  like “Make me dinner woman” and i would always answer ”Ok -Whatever you say”….

The movie was also shot on location in Ireland and it looked BEAUTIFUL and breathtaking. The rolling green hills were gorgeous.

Then yesterday in my inbox, an email from TravelZ00 popped up. It said “Ireland from NY for $299″. That my friends was a sign that I could not ignore.

I decided to right there and then book it- my husband and his frugal ways be damned! I have never been to Europe yet, and frankly- it’s one of my life’s dreams. I would love to travel the world.

I also love being impulsive.

The lowest fares were available during wintertime, which i was willing to do. So it is decided- we leave in February for 4 nights. I know it’s 8 month away, but it gives me something to look forward to… just knowing that I am actually going to Europe makes me super happy.

One of my zillion cousins actually lives in Ireland on and off throughout the year, and she will be there in February. She has offered to take us everywhere and show us what tourists don’t usually see- which is great.

Now she’s a smart one- she snagged an Irish fella.

I haven’t seen “PS I Love You” because it’s not my kind of movie (I don’t do romance films, they usually just cheese me out). But I don’t get the Gerard Butler or Jeffrey Dean Morgan thing. They’re both a little too beefcake-y for me. Your cousin’s boyfriend, however… can I just say ROWR!

  2. Your cousin did land her a cutey. Damn !
YEAH !!!! How awesome that you get to go to Ireland. We had free international tickets to ANY WHERE Delta flies and wanted to go to Ireland. Seriously. We didn’t know who could take our kids for 5-7 days though :(
    Maybe another time.
